ECU Remapping in Birmingham

Engine remapping adjusts the software in your ECU for smoother power and better drivability. We check the car's health first and tell you what is realistic for your engine.

Services

How it works

  1. Send make, model, year and engine size.
  2. We read the ECU and run a health check first.
  3. Original file is saved, then the new calibration is written.
  4. Road test and a copy of your original file for your records.

Questions about ecu remapping

Will a remap damage my engine?

A conservative remap on a healthy engine is safe — which is why we health-check and scan the car first. If we find worn injectors, a tired turbo or DPF faults, we will tell you the car is not suitable rather than take the job.

Do I need to tell my insurer about a remap?

Yes, always. A remap is a modification, and not declaring it can void your cover. We remind every customer — it is part of doing the job properly.

Can the remap be reversed?

Yes. We save your original ECU file before writing anything, so the car can be returned to standard at any time. You get a copy for your records.

My car already has a warning light — can it still be remapped?

Not until the fault is fixed. A remap on a car with existing faults makes things worse. We will diagnose the warning light first and only remap a healthy car.
